Ancient Myrrh Tea

$10.00

Myrrh Tea is a traditional herbal infusion made from the resin of the Commiphora myrrha tree, commonly used in ancient medicine for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and spiritually cleansing properties. Ethically sourced from Somaliland.

🌿 Benefits of Myrrh Tea
• Immune Support: Natural antiseptic and antibacterial action supports fighting infections (especially mouth, throat, and respiratory issues).
• Digestive Aid: Traditionally used to ease bloating, indigestion, and intestinal discomfort.
• Menstrual & Hormonal Balance: Can help relieve cramps and support uterine health.
• Oral Health: Gargling with myrrh tea can help soothe gum inflammation and sore throats.
• Detoxification: Stimulates liver function and lymphatic drainage.
• Spiritual & Energetic Uses: Often sipped or used in ritual for grounding, clearing negative energy, and connecting with ancestral wisdom.

🍵 How to Prepare Myrrh Tea

Myrrh is a resin, so it’s best extracted through simmering (not steeping like typical herbal teas):
1. Use about ¼ to ½ teaspoon of pure myrrh resin (powdered or granules)
2. Add to 1 cup of hot water
3. Simmer gently for 15–20 minutes
4. Strain through a fine mesh or cloth
5. Sweeten with honey if desired (myrrh is very bitter)

⚠️ Important: Do not use more than 1 cup per day internally, and only for short durations (5–7 days), unless under supervision from a qualified practitioner. Myrrh is potent and can be irritating in excess.

🚫 Cautions & Contraindications
• Not for use in pregnancy – myrrh can stimulate uterine contractions.
• Avoid in large doses if you have kidney issues.
• May interact with blood thinners or other medications.
